Background
Richard Middleton has been playing Music professionally for over 25 years. When Richard was 20, he started a band with Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer, Bob Burns ("Sweet Home Alabama" and "Freebird") After graduating from the University of Georgia, Middleton worked as a featured singer on Carnival Cruise Lines. Richard has written and recorded three (3) Albums with famed producer John Keane (REM, Widespread Panic, Indigo Girls, Billy Bragg, B 52's) and performed live with John Bell (JB) from Widespread Panic. He has shared the stage with Recording Artists, Drivin N' Cryin, Widespread Panic, Jerry Lee Lewis, Colonel Bruce Hampton and many others. On Middleton's single, "From Carolina," Richard is accompanied on the Grand Piano by Randal Bramblett. Currently Middleton performs weekly on Shem Creek and downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
